How is wrought iron different from steel ?

The main difference between wrought iron and steel in percentage of carbon. Wrought iron is purest form of iron. It contains between `0*2 - 0*5% ` carbon. Steel, on the other hand , contains carbon between `0*05 - 1*5%`. Besides this, to obtain steel of desirable properties, definite amounts of other transition elements such as Cr, Ni, Mn and W are added to it.
