How much force is required to stop a bus ( in 10 seconds) of mass 5000 kg moving with a speed of 72 km/h?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given , `vec(v) = 0,vec u = 72 km//h = 20 m//s , Deltat = 10s, m = 5000 kg`
` vec(F) = (m(vec(v) - vec(u)))/(Deltat) = (5000 kg (0 - 20 m//s))/(10s)= -10^(5) N`
Force required to stop the bus = `10^(5)` N
