Show that each of one of the following p...

Show that each of one of the following progression is a G.P. Also, find the common ratio in each case: `4,\ -2,\ 1,\ -1//2`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let a = 4, b = -2, c = 1
In GP, `b^2 = ac (-2)^2 = 4xx(1)= 4`
So, the Common ratio `= r = -2/4 = -1/2 `
