Natural polymers, Polymers which are found in nature, i.e., animals and plants. Are called natural polymers. For examples, proteins, starch, cellulose, nucleic acids, resins and rubber. Synthetic polymers. Man made polymers are called synthetic polymers. For examples, plastics (polythene, `PYe`)synthetic fibres (polyester, nylon 6,6) synthetic rubber (neoprene, Buna-S), etc.
