A satellite close to the earth is in orbit above the equator with a period of rotation of `1.5` hours. If it is above a point `P` on the equtor at some time, it will be above `P` again after time ...........

The correct Answer is:
`1.6` hours if it is rotating from west to east, 24/17 hours if it is rotating from east to west

`omega_(rel)=omega_(set)+-omega_("earth")`
When satellite orbitting west to east.
`omega_(rel)=omega_(set)-omega_("earth")`
`(2pi)/(T)=(2pi)/(3//2)=-(2pi)/(24) rArr (1)/(T) =(2)/(3) - (1)/(24) rArr T = 1.6 h`
When satellite orbitting from east to west.
`omega_(rel)=omega_(set)+omega_("earth")`
`(2pi)/(T)=(2pi)/(3//2)+(2pi)/(24) rArr (1)/(T)=(24)/(17)H`
