Find the Brewster angle for air to glass...

Find the Brewster angle for air to glass transmission.
(R.I of glass = 1.5)

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If the refractive index of glass relative to air be `mu` and polarising angle be `i_(p)`, then according to Brewster's law we have,
`mu = tan i_(p) or, tan i_(p) = 1.5 " " i_(p) = tan^(-1) (1.5) = 56.3^(@)`
