Find the volume (in mL) of 0.2 (N) NaOH ...

Find the volume (in mL) of 0.2 (N) NaOH solution required to neutralise 25 mL of 0.2(N) `H_(2)SO_(4)` solution.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Volume of `H_(2)SO_(4)` solution `V_(1)=25 mL`
Normality of `H_(2)SO_(4)` solution `S_(1)=0.2(N)`
Volume of NaOH solution=x mL
Normality of NaOH solution `S_(2)=0.2(N)`
Now, `V_(1)S_(1)=V_(2)S_(2) or , 2xx0.2=x xx0.2" "therefore x=25`.
