Explosion is due to internal forces . From law of conservation of linear momentum internal forces cannot change the momentum of the system . So after explosion `m_(1)v_(1)+m_(2)v_(2)=0("or")m_(1)v_(1)=-m_(2)v_(2)`. According to law of conservation of linear momentum they will fly in opposite directions .
