If earth decreases its rotational speed....

If earth decreases its rotational speed. Match the following columns
`{:(,"Column-I",,"Column-II"),("(A)","Value of g at pole","(p)","Will remain same"),("(B)","Value of g at equator","(q)","Will increase"),("(C)","Distance of geostationary","(r)","Will decrease"),("(D)","Energy of geostationary satellite","(s)","Cannot say"):}`

The correct Answer is:
`(A rarr p,B rarr q,C rarr q,D rarr q)`

Due to rotation of earth, `g' = g- R omega^(2) cos^(2) phi`
At pole there is no effect of rotation of earth
As `phi = 90^(@)`
At equator g' will increase, if `omega` decreases
Further, T will increase with decrease in `omega`.
From Kepler's third law, r should also increase.
`E = -(GMm)/(2r)`, so with increase in r, E also increase.
