Given: Electrical energy,
`E=1.2 kWh = 1.2 xx 10^(3) Wh`
time, t = 30 min `(1)/(2)`hour
Potential , V = 120V
To find: Current drawn by the heater, I = ?
Energy, E = `V"I"t therefore I = (E)/(Vt) = (1.2xx10^(3))/(120xx(1)/(2))`
`I = (1.2xx10^(3)xx2)/(120) = 20A`
Current, I = 20A
