Explanation

In order to provide centripetal force for three or four wheeler vehicles on curved roads, the outer edge is elevated so that `Rcostheta` balances the weight of the body and `Rsintheta` provides necessary centripetal force.
`Rsintheta=(mv^2)/r`
`Rcostheta=mg`
Hence angle of banking `theta=tan^(-1)((v^2)/(rg))`
or `v_("max")=sqrt(rgtantheta)` in the absence of friction.
Note : In the presence of friction between the roads and the wheels
`v_("max")=sqrt(rg((mu+tantheta)/(1-mutantheta)))`
