Determine the unit vector which is perpendicular to both `barA=2hati+hatj+hatk` and `barB=hati-hatj+hatk`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`:.vecAxxvecB`

`=hati(2+1)-hatj(4-1)+hatk(-2-1)`
i.e `vecAxxvecB=3hati-3hatj-3hatk`
and `|vecAxxvecB|=sqrt(3^2+3^2+3^2)=3sqrt3`
unit vector along `vecVxxvecB` is `(vecAxxvecB)/(|vecAxxvecB|)=1/sqrt3(hati-hatj-hatk)`
