If the tangential acceleration of a particle around a circular path is `0.5ms^(-2)` and radial acceleration is `0.65ms^(-2)`, then calculate the resultant acceleration of the particle.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given `a_t=0.5ms^(-2),a_r=0.65ms^(-2)`
Using `a=sqrt(a_t^2+a_r^2)=sqrt(0.5^2+0.65^2)=sqrt(0.25+0.4225)`
`a=0.82ms^(-2)`
