A simple pendulum of length 1.5m is held horizontally and then released. If the mass of the system is 0.050 kg, then calculate the centripetal force at the bottom and maximum tension in the string ( given g=`9.8ms^(-2)`)

Given `1=1.5m,m=0.05,g=9.8ms^(-2)`
We know that the centrifugal force `=(mv^2)/r`
but `1/2mv^2=mgh`
i.e `v^2=2gl` where h=1,r=1
`:." "F=m/1.2gl`
i.e F=2mg
i.e centripetal force `=2xx0.05xx9.8=0.98N`
Hence tension T=F+mg=3mg
i.e `T=3xx0.05xx9.8=1.47N`
