Benzophenone does not react with `NaHSO_(3)`. Explain.

The addition of `NaHSO_(3)` on benzophenone `[(C_(6)H_(5))_(2)C = O]` involves the nucleophile attack of bisulphite `(HSO_(3^(-)))` ion. The phenyl groups act as hindrance ot the attacking nucleophile. Therefore, benzophenone does not react with `NaHSO_(3)`.
