A measured temperature on Fahrenheit scale is `200^(@)F`. What will this reading be on clesius scale?

A

`40^(@)C`

B

`94^(@)C`

C

`93.3^(@)C`

D

`30^(@)C`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

There are three common scales to measure temperature `.^(@)C` (degree celsius).
`.^(@)F` (degree fahrenheit) and K (kelvin). The k is the SI unit.
The temperatures on two scales are related to each other by the following relationship.
`.^(F) =(9)/(4) t ^(@)C+32`
Putting the values in above equation
`2(x)-32=(9)/(5)t^(@)C`
`rArr (9)/(5)t^(@)C=168`
`rArr t^(@)C=(168xx5)/(9)=93.3^(@)C`
