Which of the following solutions have the same concentration?

A

20g of NaOH in 20mL of solution

B

0.5mol of KCl in 200mL of solution

C

40g of NaOH in 100mL of solution

D

20g of KOH in 200mL of solution

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Molarity `(M)=("weight of NaOH"xx1000)/("Molecular weight of NaOH"xxV(mL))`
`=(20xx1000)/(40xx200)=2.5M`
(b) `M=(0.5xx1000)/(200)=2.5M`
(c)` M=(40xx1000)/(10xx100)=10M`
(d) ` M=(20xx1000)/(56xx200)=1.785M`
Thus, 20 g NaOH in 200mL of solution and 0.5mol of KC l in 200 mL have the same concentration
