` Q = CV `
Total charge `" " ` Q = Total capacitance in series ` xx ` voltage
` = ((5)/(6) xx 10 ^(-3)) xx 12 = 10 xx 10 ^(-3) ` coulomb
` V_(AB) = (Q)/(c_1 ) = (10 xx10 ^(-3))/(1 xx 10 ^(-3)) = 10V `
` V_(BC ) = (Q)/(c_2) = (10 xx 10 ^(-3))/( 5 xx 10 ^(-3)) = 2V `
When B is earthed ` V_B = 0 , V_A= 10 V and V_C= -2V`.
