Two trains each of length 50m. are running with constant speeds on parallel tracks. While moving in same direction one over takes the other in 40 seconds and while moving in opposite direction on ecrosses the other in 20 seonds. The speeds of trains will be:-

A

`2.25ms^(-1)` and `2.75 ms^(-1)`

B

`2.15 ms^(-1)` and `2.85 ms^(-1)`

C

`3.75 ms^(-1)` and `1.25 ms^(-1)`

D

`4.25 ms^(-1)` and `0.75 ms^(-1)`

The correct Answer is:
C

`v_(1)-v_(2)=(100)/(40)=2.5`
`v_(1)+v_(2)=(100)/(20)=5`
Adding, `2v_(1)=7.5`
`rArrv_(1)=3.75` and `v_(2)=1.25`

Two trains, each of length 100 m , are running on parallel tracks. One overtakes the other in 20 second and one crosses the other in 10 second . Calculate the velocities of two trains.

Two trains, each of length 200 m are running on parallel tracks. One overtakes the other is 20 s and one crosses the other in 10 s. The velocities of the two trains are

Two trains of length 150m and 250m run on parallel lines. When they run in the same direction it will take 20 seconds to cross each other and when they run in opposite direction it will take 5 seconds.Find the speeds of the two trains.(in km/h)

Two trains, one 150 m long and the other 130 m long, coming from opposite directions crossed each other in 7.2 seconds. The sum of speed of the two trains every hour would then be:

Two trains, one 153 m long and the other 127 m long, coming from opposite directions crossed each other in 7.2 seconds. The combined speed of the two trains every hour would then be:

There are two trains running on two parallel tracks. Length of each train is 120 m. When they are running in opposite directions, they cross each other in 4 seconds and when they are running in the same direction they cross in 12 seconds. What is the speed of the faster train?
