Weight of the body in air = `100xxg`, weight of the body in water = `40gxxg`.
`therefore` Weight of displaced water = `(100-40)xxg=60gxxg`.
`therefore` Volume of displaced water = `60cm^(3)`
So, the volume of the body = `60cm^(3)`
Specific gravity of the liquid = 0.8
`therefore` Density of the liquid = `0.8g*cm^(-3)`.
`therefore` Weight of the displaced liquid
`=(60xx0.8)xxg=48gxxg`.
`therefore` Weight of the body in the liquid
= Weight of the bodyin air - weight of the displaced liquid
= `(100-48)xxg=52gxxg=50960dyn`.
