Solve the simultaneous equations `|x+2|+y=5`, `x-|y|=1` Find x.

`x=2`
`|x+2|+y=5` ……….`(i)`
`x-|y|=1` ……..`(ii)`
Eliminating `x`, we get
`|1+|y|+2|+y=5`
`:. (3+|y|)+y=5`
`:. y+|y|=2`
`:.y=2`
`:.x=2`
