The ratio of turns in the primary and secondary coils of a transformer is `1:15` . If the voltage and current in the primary coil are 12 volt and 30 ampere respectively then what will be the voltage and current in secondary coil?

`(n_(p))/(n_(s)) = (1)/(15)`
`E_(p) = 12`V
`I_(p) = 30 `A
`(E_(p))/(E_(s)) = (n_(p))/(n_(s)) rArr (12)/(E_(s)) = (1)/(15)`
`E_(s) = 12 xx 15 = 180 ` V
As `(E_(8))/(E_(p)) = (I_(p))/(I_(8))`
`I_(s) = (I_(p)E_(p))/(E_(s)) = (30 xx 12)/(180) ` = 2 A
