If the base region of a transistor is made large, as compared to a usual transistor, how does it affect (i) the collector current and (ii) current gain of this transistor.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If base region in a transistor is thicker majority of charge will combine in base only which will decrease the number of charge carries moving to the collector and hence will decrease the value of collector current .
