In the given circuit diagram, a voltmeter 'V' is connected across a lamp 'L'. How would (i) the brightness of the lamp and (ii) voltmeter reading 'V' be affected, if the value of resistance 'R' is decreased ? Justify your answer.

Since the base - emitter junction of n-p transistor is in forward bias the decrease in value of resistance will increases
(i) As the collector current is increased the lamp will glow brighter on decreasing the value of R .
(ii) Here voltmeter is connector in parallel thus voltmeter reading will also increase.
