Explain why T.V. transmission towers are usually made high.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Since `d = sqrt(2hR)`, so if the height h of the toweris increased, the distance d upto which T.V. covterage can be done also increases. So T.V. transmission towers are made high for covering more area for transmission.
