Expand GMO. How is it different from a hybrid?

GMO:Genetically modified organism. Hybrid is formed by crossing two different parents where total genomes of two species or strains are involved. In GMO, one or more foreign genes are incorporated. It may occur as extra chromosomal entity or may get integrated with genome of organism. In GMO, altogether new traits are introduced while in hybrid only existing traits of parents are improved.
