Factorize: `x^3+3x^2+3x-7`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We have
`x^3+3x^2+3x-7`
` =(x^3+3x^2+3x+1)-7-1`
`=(x+1)^3-8=(x+1)^3-2^3`
` =(x+1-2)xx{(x+1)^2+2(x+1)+2^2}`
`=(x-1)(x^2+4x+7)`.
` therefore (x^3+3x^2+3x-7)=(x-1)(x^2+4x+7)`.
