Each side of a cube is measured to be 7.203m. What are the total surface area and the volume of the cube to appropriate significant figures ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Length of side of cube =l
Total area of cubee= `6l^(2)`
`=311.299254`
Given measurement has four significant digit. Hence, in calculation of area, `A = 311.3 m^(2)`
Volume of cube `=l^(3)`
`=(7.203)^(3)`
`=273.7147544`
Rounding off to four significant digit,
`V=373.7 m^(3)`
