How do they produce new plants? Give two other examples where new plants are produced in the same way.

They produce new offering with the help of vegetative propagation such as runner, tuber, rhizome, sucker, bulb etc. For example, from the rhizomes of banana and ginger, adventitious buds arise from the notches present at margins of leaves of Bryophyllum.
