Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
`b rarr p, r`

`tan^(-1) (x + 3) - tan^(-1) (x -3) = sin^(-1) (3//5)`
`rArr tan^(-1).((x +3)-(x -3))/(1 + (x^(2) -9)) = tan^(-1).(3)/(4)`
`rArr (6)/(x^(2) -8) = (3)/(4)`
`:. X^(2) -8 = 8`
or `x = +- 4`
Clearly, both values satisfy the equation
Note : Solution of the remaining parts are given in their respective chapters.
