How do genes and chromosomes share similarity from the point of view of genetical studies ?

Similarities between Chromosomes and Genes:
= (i) Both occur in pairs. (ii) Both segregate during the time of gamete formation such that only one of each pair is transmitted to a gamete. (because of meiosis) (iii) Pairs segregate independently of each other in both.
