When is the work done by a force is positive and negative ?

General formula of work is W = `Fd cos theta ` .
If the angle between force and displacement is between `0^(@)` to `90^(@)` .Work done is positive ,`cos theta ` is positive . In this state work is done on the body by force .
If the ange between force and dispalcement is between `90^(@)` to `180^(@)` , work done is negative , .In this state work is done by the body and work done is opposite to thr force .
Note : If the force and the displacement is not in the same direction , then any other force is presence or the initial velocity is not in the direction of force in the begining .
