Solve ` log_(4)(x-1)= log_(2) (x-3)`.

A

3

B

2

C

5

D

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

The number of …………
`log_(4)(x-1) = log_(2)(x-3) :. X gt 3`
`:. Sqrt(x-1) = x-3`
`x - 1=x^(2)-6x+ 9 i.e. x^(2)-7x+10=0`
Hence x = 5 is the only solution.
