Electrolytic refining of copper:
Explanation: In electrolysis process impure metal is made anode and pure metal is made cathode. A solution of the metal is taken as an electrolyte. The pure and impure metals are immersed in electrolyte and electricity is passed. The pure metal from anode anode dissolve in electrolyte. An equivalent pure metal from the electrolyte deposits on cathode.
