The amount of Cu deposited whenever a current can deposit 10.8g of Ag from silver nitrate solution is passed through `CuSO_(4)` solution.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Equivalent mass of silver `= ( 10.8)/( 1) = 10.8`
Equivalent mass of copper `= ( 63.5)/( 2) = 31.75`
Hence, `(1)/( 10)` equivalent of silver is deposited
`= ( 31. 75)/( 10) = 3.175g`.
