Why do sclown fish and sea anemone pair up? What is this relationship called?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The clown fish lives among the stinging tentacles of sea anemone. In this paired condition, the fish gets protection from predators which stay away from the stinging tentacles. The sea anemone does. not get any benefit by hosting the clown fish. Commensalism is the interaction in which one species benefits and the other is neither harmed or benefitted.
