What is the difference between Hibernation and Aestivation ?

Explanation

Hibernation (Winter Sleep). All poikilotherms escape chilly winter conditions by taking shelter in mud, caves, crevices, burrows, hollow tree trunks, etc. The animals remain listless during the period. Metabolic activities are minimum so that consumption of stored food is slow. e.g., Bats, squirrel.
Aestivation (Summer Sleep). Poikilothermic animals cannot tolerate hot summer conditions. They rest in cool, shady and moist areas during the daytime. Some rests themselves in mud, e.g., lung fish.
