Friedel Craft.s Acylation reaction. When benzene or substitued benzene is treated with acid chloride or acid anhydride in the presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride (a Lewis acid) an aromatic ketone is obtained. This reaction is called Friedel Crafts acylation reaction. For example.
