What do you mean by current sensitivity ...

What do you mean by current sensitivity of a galvanometer and how it can be increased ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Current Sensitivity : It is defined as the deflection produced in the galvanometer on passing unit current through its coil.
Current sensitivity can be increased by :
(i) increasing the number of turns (n) in the coil.
(ii) increasing the strength of magnetic field (B).
(iii) increasing the area of the coil (A).
(iv) decreasing the restoring torque per unit twist (k).
