A laboratory cylinder has 6 g of H2 gas ...

A laboratory cylinder has 6 g of `H_2` gas at 2 atm, 500 K. Due to an accident in the lab, a valve in the cylinder gets opened. After closing the valve, it is fount that the final pressure and temperature of the cylinder are 1 atm and 300 K, then how much gas leaked out?

A

2 g

B

3 g

C

4 g

D

1 g

The correct Answer is:
D

`PV=m/M RT`
Initially,
`PV=6/m r xx 500" "...(i)`
`P/2 V=((6-x))/M R xx 300` (if x g gas leaks out) ... (ii)
Divide (i) by (ii), we get `:." "x=1g`
