Data : , = 1000 kg, h = 1600 km `= 1.6 xx 10^(6) m , R = 6.4 xx 10^(6)` m
G = ` 6.67 xx 10^(-11) N.m^(2) //kg^(2) M = 6xx 10^(24) Kg`
For the satellite
(i) the total energy , ` E = (GMm)/(2(R+h)) = - (6.67 xx 10^(-11) ( 6xx 10^(24)) (1000))/(2(6.4+ 1.6) xx 10^(6))`
` = 2.502k xx 10^(10) J`
(ii) The binding energy = - E = ` 2.502 xx 10^(10) J`
