Data : T = ` 2 s, x_(0) = +A` (assuming that the body is initially at the positive extremity) ,` x=A/2 ` ltbr. ` omega = (2pi)/T = (2pi)/2 = pi ` rad/s
As the body is assumed to start from the positive extremity.
x = `A cos omega t`
`A/2= A cos omegat " " therefore omegat= 1/2`
`omegat= cos^(-1) 1/2 = pi/3 " " therefore pit= pi/3 " " therefore t=1/3 s`
Starting from the positive extremity, the body takes ` 1/3` s and cover a distance equal to half the amplitude.
