How can we use a diode as a switch

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When a p-n junction diode in reverse biase is connected across a battery it offers infinite resistance and acts as a switch in off position .However when it is connected in forward in biase it offers zero resistance and hence acts as a swicth in ON position.
