Define linkage isomerism of.co-ordination compounds. Give an example.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Linkage isomerism in one in which two co-ordination compounds have the same molecular composition but differ in the mode of attachment of ligands to the central metal atom/ion.
Ex : `[Co(NH_3)_5 (NO_2)] Cl_2 and [Co(NH_3)_5 (ONO)] Cl_2`
