What is stopping potential?...

What is stopping potential?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Stopping Potential is the opposing potential needed to stop the moving photo-electron. This potential is independent of the intensity of the radiation but dependent on the frequency of radiation. Higher the energy of radiation greater is the value of stopping potential.
