(a) A replica or duplicate copy of an object formed due to the actual or apparent meeting of light rays coming from the object after getting reflected is called an image.
(b) When parallel rays of light fall on a rough surface, the rays of light get scattered in different directions. This is known as diffuse reflection.
(c) The impression of an image does not vanish immediately from the retina, it persists there for about 1/16th of a second. This is known as persistence of vision.
