(a) The retina of Raman.s eyes could be malfunctioning. In case of night-blindness, the rod cells present in the retina gradually lose their ability to respond to light.
(b) The retina of Mehak.s eye could be malfunctioning. In case of colour blindness, cone cells that sense colour get deficient or faulty.
