Understanding the Timetable for the ICSE Class 10 Board Exams 2026
Being aware of your exam dates is an essential element of intelligent preparation. For CISCE students of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) (Class 10) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) (Class 12), the yearly timetable not only indicates when you will be taking the examination, but also assists you in planning your revision, internal assessments and using your time effectively for building in buffer days and managing stress.
The Time Table for the examination 2026 will come out tentatively in November 2025, and the exams will likely take place in the period of February‑March 2026.
1.0What the 2026 Exam Season Looks Like
According to recent updates:
- Although CISCE has not specified major changes to the exam schedule for 2026, it is assumed that the exams will take place once during the academic year (instead of two sittings). For ICSE (Class 10) exams, this will be between February & March 2026, in pen-and-paper mode. For ISC (Class 12) exam dates, that will likely be from February into April 2026.
- The timetable (subject wise PDF of dates & timings) should be available on the official website at cisce.org hopefully by November 2025. Therefore, it is important to prepare as if the examinations will be scheduled for mid-February (Class 10, ICSE) and run through March for most students, while possibly into April for Class 12, ISC students. Hence, plan ahead.

5.0Preparation Tips Based on the Timetable
Because your exam window is fixed and release dates are known, you can tailor your preparation:
- Phase 1: Finish the syllabus (up until Jan 2026): Ensure you have covered all chapters of all subjects well in advance of the first exam date.
- Phase 2: Subject‐wise revision & sample papers (Feb 2026): Once you receive your assessments, determine which subjects are early on the day‐wise exam schedule. Allot extra time to revise and prepare.
- Phase 3: Final review & mock runs (late Feb – early March 2026): Attempt the mocks for full-length test papers while tracking your time according to the exam length (2 ‐2.5 hours).
- Phase 4: Exam days: The night before each exam, briefly review notes. On the morning of the exam, relax, arrive early to the exam location, and stay calm.
- Use the date sheet to pace yourself and don't over‐study just because an exam day is approaching. Remember, a balanced review will beat panic in the week before exams.
- Complete the internal assessments & practicals well in advance of the date‐sheet release so that when the date‐sheet is released, your focus will solely be on revision and preparation and not on completing internal assessments.
