JEE Main 2026 Registration Starts Soon: January Session 1 Application Form, Exam Date Expected Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon start the JEE Main 2026 registration process on its official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in. Eligible candidates must apply online only once the registration link is active.  As per the latest updates, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 registration is expected to begin on 18th October 2025, while Sessions 1 and 2 of the exam will be held in January and April 2026, respectively.

NTA will also release a demo registration link, a detailed application process, and an exam schedule on the official website. Keep checking jeemain.nta.nic.in for the latest announcements and notifications.

1.0JEE Main 2026 Registration Highlights

  • JEE Main registration 2026 link will be activated at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • There are three steps: Registration, Filling out the Form, and Fee Payment.
  • Candidates must fill out the form carefully to avoid any corrections later.
  • Students can apply for session 1 or 2 or both sessions together.
  • Session 2 JEE Main registration will begin later.
  • Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate for the same session will be rejected.

2.0Why You Should Update Your Documents Before JEE Main 2026 Registration

Many students face issues during the registration process due to mismatched or incorrect details in their documents — such as

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address, or
  • Category certificate.

Such discrepancies can lead to JEE Main Application rejection or delays in the admission process, making it crucial to be cautious and aware.

The NTA has advised all aspirants to review and update their documents beforehand to avoid last-minute problems and ensure a smooth registration experience.

3.0Important Points to Remember During JEE Main 2026 Registration

  • Keep soft copies of all required documents ready before applying.
  • Ensure your name, father’s name, and date of birth exactly match the details on your Class 10 marksheet.
  • Scan and upload your passport-size photo and signature in the correct format.
  • Submit the application fee online within the specified deadline.

4.0JEE Main 2026: Documents to verify and update before registration

Before starting the JEE Main 2026 registration, candidates must ensure that all personal and academic documents are accurate, valid, and updated. Any mismatch or expired document can result in application rejection or issues during the admission process.

1. Aadhaar Card

  • Name and date of birth must exactly match the Class 10 marksheet.
  • The latest photograph, correct address, and father’s name should be present.
  • Any errors in your Aadhaar card must be corrected before registration to prevent your application from being rejected.

2. UDID Card (for PwD Candidates)

  • Candidates with disabilities must have a valid Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card.
  • Ensure the card is renewed if it has expired before registration.

3. Category Certificate

  • Students applying under the EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, or ST categories must have an updated and valid certificate.
  • Outdated or incorrect formats can lead to application cancellation.
  • For some categories, NTA may ask only for certificate details (issuing authority and date) instead of an upload.

4. Scanned Images

  • Upload a passport-size photo and signature in the correct format and size.
    • Photo: 10–200 KB (JPG/JPEG)
    • Signature: 4–30 KB (JPG/JPEG)
  • Ensure the images are clear and recent.

5. Academic Details

  • Provide accurate information from your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, including board name, school, and passing year.
  • Current Class 12 students should use details from their admit card.

6. Personal and Contact Information

  • Verify your name, parents’ details, phone number, email ID, and date of birth carefully before submission.

7. Payment Details

  • Keep payment options ready: credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI for online fee payment.
