As per the latest updates, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 and 2 registration begins on 31st October 2025, while Sessions 1 and 2 of the exam will be held in January and April 2026, respectively.

4.0JEE Main 2026: Documents to verify and update before registration
Before starting the JEE Main 2026 registration, candidates must ensure that all personal and academic documents are accurate, valid, and updated. Any mismatch or expired document can result in application rejection or issues during the admission process.
1. Aadhaar Card
- Name and date of birth must exactly match the Class 10 marksheet.
- The latest photograph, correct address, and father’s name should be present.
- Any errors in your Aadhaar card must be corrected before registration to prevent your application from being rejected.
2. UDID Card (for PwD Candidates)
- Candidates with disabilities must have a valid Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card.
- Ensure the card is renewed if it has expired before registration.
3. Category Certificate
- Students applying under the EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, or ST categories must have an updated and valid certificate.
- Outdated or incorrect formats can lead to application cancellation.
- For some categories, NTA may ask only for certificate details (issuing authority and date) instead of an upload.
4. Scanned Images
- Upload a passport-size photo and signature in the correct format and size.
- Photo: 10–200 KB (JPG/JPEG)
- Signature: 4–30 KB (JPG/JPEG)
- Ensure the images are clear and recent.
5. Academic Details
- Provide accurate information from your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, including board name, school, and passing year.
- Current Class 12 students should use details from their admit card.
6. Personal and Contact Information
- Verify your name, parents’ details, phone number, email ID, and date of birth carefully before submission.
7. Payment Details
- Keep payment options ready: credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI for online fee payment.
