The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is the statutory authority responsible for conducting Class 10 board exams also known as Madhyamik Pariksha across West Bengal. It prescribes syllabus, textbooks, examination patterns, and evaluation guidelines to ensure uniform academic standards. The Madhyamik syllabus and exam pattern are determined based on:

  • National and state education guidelines.
  • Skill and knowledge progression across Classes 9 and 10.
  • Practical applicability and foundational knowledge for Class 11 streams.

3.0WBBSE Class 10 Exam Pattern - Marking Scheme

The exam pattern of Class 10 WBBSE Exam follows a standard structure:

  • Theory: 90 marks per subject (except vocational or optional subjects).
